Wedding Bells!

On 20th August 2006, Mojo Bones' bassist and webmaster, Mat Heighway, married Emily Eastmond at Friars Court in Oxfordshire. It was a lovely day, attended by lots of friends and family. There will also soon be photos and other information about the day on their wedding mini-site, so have a look if you're interested.

Both Nigel Leaper and Danny Segal of Mojo Bones were able to join Mat and Emily on their special day. Mat would also publicly like to thank the band for the loan of the Mojo Bones PA for the party in the evening!

Special guest visit!

On Friday 30th June, we were joined by founder Mojo Boner Jack Lockwood at The Plough, Kingham. And what a fantastic occasion it was for us all! Those of you who were there will know that having Jack back in the band made for a really special evening, and the enthusiasm (and CD-buying!) of the audience certainly made that plain. We're already looking forward to another visit from Jack in the near future. Watch this space!

Album News

Mojo Bones' first album, 'Call me on the Phone Sometime' arrived in March 2006 and is proving very popular! It contains 13 tracks, ranging from Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters numbers to pure home-grown blues songs. You can listen to some sample tracks on our downloads page. 'Call me on the Phone Sometime' is available to order at our online shop.

New Website!

As you obviously know by now, we have a new website here at www.mojobones.co.uk. This site is designed and maintained by our bassist, Mat Heighway. Apart from finding all the latest news about the band here, you can also find information on forthcoming and past gigs, downloads, details about the band, contact information, and lots more. If you can't find what you're looking for or would just like to get in touch about this site, the band, or anything else Mojo Bones, please contact us.

More gigs!

Mojo Bones are currently hunting for more gigs, after a quiet period while we rearranged ourselves after losing bandmembers Jack Lockwood and, after only a short time, keyboards/guitar player Tom Bodfish. If you or anyone you know has a venue and is looking for a blues band, please do get in touch and we'll be happy to talk! In the meantime, please check out our forthcoming gigs here.
